The China Blue Flowers Cloisonné Series Cremation Urn comes in 2 sizes. They feature a magnificent array of colorful flower variations; the cloisonné urns will create a memorial for your loved one for generations to come. The cloisonné urns are made in ancient China and are still made to this day the same way they have been made for centuries. The time-honored process originated in Beijing in the 12th century. Tiny copper filigree partitions are created and through a process of soldering and heating put on a metal urn. The enamel glaze is hand painted into each partition and kiln fired, a process repeated several times until the surface is smooth. Each urn is then ground, polished and finally electroplated with a thin coating of gold creating an elegant finish.
Top opening lid, could be sealed with adhesive.

I couldn't tell from the picture on the website that the urn had tiny red flowers in the blue floral design. However, when it arrived and I discovered this, I was delighted, as that was my mother's favorite color combination. It proved that was the perfect urn for her.
